Air Transat is a Canadian airline based in Montreal, Canada, established in December 1986. Their main operating bases are Montreal-Pierre Elliot Trudeau International Airport and Toronto Pearson International Airport. In 2009, Air Transat announced a partnership with CanJet which was then replaced by an agreement with Calgary-based airline Westjet. Air Transat operates direct flights to Toronto, Montreal, Calgary and Vancouver from London Gatwick, Birmingham, Manchester, Glasgow and Dublin airports. Travelling from the UK, passengers with Air Transat will enjoy the wide-body Airbus A310 or A330 aircraft and savour the choice from their Euro Bistro menu.

The international airline Air Transat was founded in 1986 and has its headquarters and home base in Montreal. It also has turnstiles in Montreal-Trudeau, Toronto-Pearson and Vancouver. The airline currently serves 63 destinations in 30 countries in and outside Canada, with top destinations including the Dominican Republic, Mexico and Haiti. Currently only one connection to Basel exists in German-speaking countries. Flights with Air Transat to Europe are available for cities such as Amsterdam, Barcelona, ​​Dublin, Paris, Rome and London. The airline has codeshare agreements with Enerjet and Thomas Cook Airlines.

The hand luggage policy for Air Transat flights varies by destination. For flights between Canada and Europe, the following regulations apply: Regardless of the booking class, a piece of hand luggage with the dimensions 23 x 40 x 51 cm and max. 10 kg allowed. Camera bags, notebooks and handbags are also allowed. Please make sure that your carry-on bag complies with the usual safety precautions: Containers with liquids must not exceed the limit of 100 ml and must be stowed in a transparent, resealable plastic bag. Medicines and special items such as baby food may be carried without limitation, but must also be presented.

Free luggage:

The baggage allowance policies for Air Transat flights are based on destination and booking class. For flights between Canada and Europe, the following free baggage allowances apply: Class Plus and Club Class travelers have two pieces of baggage that can not exceed a total weight of 33 kg or 40 kg. Economy Class travelers have a bag of 23 kg. Regardless of the booking class, the sum of the edge measurements of 158 cm must be observed.
