Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI) is an international airport located in Linthicum, Maryland, which is about 9 miles (14 km) south of downtown Baltimore and 32 miles (51 km) northeast of Washington D.C. It is named after Thurgood Marshall, who was the first African American to serve on the United States Supreme Court.

BWI airport is a focus city for Southwest Airlines and a hub for Spirit Airlines, and it also serves as a secondary hub for both Delta Air Lines and American Airlines. The airport has five concourses (A, B, C, D, and E) and one terminal building, which handles both domestic and international flights.

BWI airport is the busiest airport in the Baltimore-Washington metropolitan area and is the 23rd busiest airport in the United States. It served over 25 million passengers in 2019 and offers over 300 daily non-stop flights to over 90 domestic and international destinations.
