Chennai International Airport is the primary airport serving the city of Chennai (formerly known as Madras) in the state of Tamil Nadu, India. It is located in the Meenambakkam area, about 21 kilometers southwest of the city center.

The airport has two terminals – Terminal 1 for domestic flights and Terminal 2 for international flights. It is one of the busiest airports in India, handling millions of passengers and thousands of flights every year.

Chennai International Airport offers a range of facilities and services to passengers, including shops, restaurants, lounges, duty-free stores, ATMs, currency exchange, baggage storage, and medical services. It also has good connectivity with the city via taxis, buses, and metro rail.

In recent years, the airport has undergone significant expansion and modernization to improve its capacity and infrastructure. This includes the construction of a new integrated terminal building, which was inaugurated in 2021 and is expected to increase the airport’s capacity to handle more passengers and flights in the future.
