Recife International Airport, also known as Guararapes-Gilberto Freyre International Airport, is the main airport serving Recife, the capital city of the state of Pernambuco in Brazil. It is located approximately 14 kilometers (9 miles) south of downtown Recife.

The airport was opened in 1958 and has undergone several renovations and expansions over the years. It now serves over 8 million passengers annually and has one runway and two passenger terminals, Terminal 1 and Terminal 2.

Recife International Airport offers direct flights to destinations throughout Brazil, as well as several international destinations in South America, North America, Europe, and Africa. It is a hub for several major airlines, including Azul Brazilian Airlines and LATAM Brasil.

The airport has a variety of services and amenities for passengers, including restaurants, shops, lounges, and duty-free stores. It also has several on-site hotels, including the ibis Recife Aeroporto and the Mar Hotel Conventions. In addition, the airport provides free Wi-Fi, baggage storage, and currency exchange services.
