Ryanair is an Irish low-cost airline that was founded in 1984 by Tony Ryan. The airline has grown to become one of the largest low-cost carriers in Europe, with a fleet of over 400 Boeing 737 aircraft serving over 40 countries. Ryanair is known for its low fares and no-frills service, which has helped it to capture a large share of the European air travel market.
One of the key factors that has contributed to Ryanair’s success is its focus on keeping costs low. The airline operates a no-frills service, meaning that passengers are charged for everything from checked baggage to food and drink on board. This allows Ryanair to keep its fares low, making air travel more accessible to a wider range of people. The airline has also been known for its cost-cutting measures, such as reducing legroom on its planes and charging for certain services that other airlines may include in the price of the ticket.
Ryanair has also been known for its controversial approach to customer service. The airline has been criticized for charging fees for a variety of services, including printing boarding passes and changing flights. In addition, the airline has been criticized for its strict baggage policies, which can result in passengers being charged for overweight or oversized bags. Ryanair has also been known to cancel flights at the last minute, leaving passengers stranded and struggling to find alternative travel arrangements.
Despite these criticisms, Ryanair has been successful in capturing a large share of the European air travel market. The airline has continued to expand its route network, adding new destinations and increasing the frequency of its flights. Ryanair has also been successful in attracting business travelers, who are often willing to pay extra for additional services such as priority boarding and fast-track security.
In recent years, Ryanair has been working to improve its customer service and image. The airline has introduced a number of new services, such as a mobile app and a 24-hour customer service hotline. Ryanair has also made efforts to improve its on-time performance and reduce the number of flight cancellations.
In conclusion, Ryanair has become one of the most successful low-cost airlines in Europe, thanks to its focus on keeping costs low and its ability to offer affordable air travel to a wide range of passengers. While the airline has been criticized for its approach to customer service, it has also been successful in attracting a large customer base, including both leisure and business travelers. As Ryanair continues to expand and improve its services, it is likely to remain a major player in the European air travel market for years to come.

About Ryanair’s Baggage Policy
There are different rules for carry-on baggage and checked baggage when flying with Ryanair. Take a look at the weight and dimension restrictions required for your Ryanair flight.
Carry-on Baggage
From November 2018, passengers on Ryanair flights are allowed one small carry-on bag that must fit under their seats. This bag must fit between the dimensions of 35 x 20 x 20 cm—40 x 20 x 25cm. Passengers wanting to bring a small suitcase must purchase the 10kg checked bag. This baggage can weigh no heavier than 10kg and is between £8—£10 depending on whether it’s purchased online at the time of booking or after the time of booking, but 40 minutes prior the scheduled flight departure time. The 10kg bag is also available to purchase at the airport, but it will be considerably more expensive than booking it online prior to arriving at the airport.
Checked Baggage
Passengers on Ryanair flights can purchase a maximum of three checked bags at 20kg per piece of baggage.
About Ryanair’s Cabins
Ryanair has 2 types of cabin classes: Business and Economy. Both classes have their own benefits and baggage policies.
Economy Class
Ryanair Economy Class allows priority boarding passengers with the 1 small bag (40x20x25cm), plus a larger cabin bag (55x40x20cm) with a maximum weight allowance of 10kg into the cabin. Passengers who do not have priority boarding will only be able to bring one small cabin bag on board free of charge.
Business Class
Ryanair offers Business Plus fare which includes premium seats, extra baggage, priority boarding whereby passengers are allocated a seat and allowed to board and disembark first.
Ryanair offers passengers the option to change flight times, destination or even departure airport at no extra cost on the day of travel. They have the largest network operating to 200 destinations across 31 countries with 1,800 daily routes offering high-frequency departures on key business routes.
